Event Description

We've taken our Sustainable Sipping program from past years and given it a modern twist--with lime? Join us every second Friday of the month from May through October for 21+ events. All events include live music, environmentally-friendly workshops, adult beverages, food trucks, and more!

You may purchase tickets at one of two price levels. $25 tickets include two (2) drinks, a food truck voucher, and access to workshops and live music. $18 tickets may be purchased, which include access to workshops and live music events only.

The July 12 event will include the following:

5:00 p.m.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., you can enjoy some grub from the Billu Indian Grill on Wheels. The food truck will be open to the public and available throughout the event until 9:00 p.m.

Billu is well known in the Pittsburgh area for his homemade North Indian Cuisine. He learned the basics of cooking from apprenticeships in local Indian restaurants and has developed his talent by adding his own flare to the traditional recipes. He brings his unique taste and flare to the Pittsburgh area now via his own mobile food truck.

Doors open to workshop.

6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The workshop for the July event will include Sound Bath Mediation with Brooke Smokelin of Vox Lumina, as well as meditation with Tim Krupar of the Pittsburgh Buddhist Center.

*****Event attendees are encouraged to bring a yoga mat to this workshop.*****

For many moons, Vox Lumina (Big Blue Sun, House of Woo) has been moving crowds with her fully emotional blend of rhythmic, rootsy guitar and sophisticated, soulful vocals, sharing the stage with the likes of Donna the Buffalo, Blue Rodeo, and Ember Swift. Vox Lumina’s “organically grown soul music” moves through a variety of musical landscapes- blues, jazz, folk, rock, world- “a veritable celebration of sound that highlights depth and creativity and is accentuated by extremely mindful lyrics.” (First Degree)
