Event Description

Get outside and gain a deeper appreciation for local pollinators with Project Bee Watch, a citizen science program mobilizing volunteers to help survey pollinators in Allegheny County. Collected data is analyzed by researchers at Point Park University and supports management efforts to create and protect important pollinator habitat in the region.

No experience necessary; learn all you need at this upcoming training session! For ages 12 and up.

Once trained, Project Bee Watch citizen scientists independently survey designated meadows as often as they are able.

Registration is required for this event.

Weather-appropriate clothes and footwear with good tread are encouraged.

The training will meet in the East Classroom of the Frick Environmental Center, and spend a majority of the time in the meadows near the building.
